heartbeat!

So today we had another appointment with ever so lovely Dr. Vivian Lee. Everything seems to be going quite well! My weight gain is good, no high blood pressure, results from the last blood test were awesome and then she pulls out the speaker stethoscope...

She squirts a gel on to my tummy and presses on part of it to my lower tummy. She moves it around a bit before there it was...

thump thump thump thump thump...

It was going so quickly, apparently that's normal. Charlie sat completely quiet in the corner with the biggest smile I've ever seen. Dr. Lee wipes off the gel and I joke
"so there's only one in there, right?"
"well for now... but we wont know for sure until the ultrasound"

*phew*... for now.

a heartbeat huh?
So this kid is really for real. It kinda gives you a kick of reality. There's a baby there! Holy Crap! We see Dr. Lee again on the 19th, two days after my 32nd birthday. That's ultra sound day!

The 19th is hopefully when we figure out whether this baby is a boy or a girl! Yay! My mother is convinced that its a girl. She had a dream and she was playing with a little girl. So it HAS to be a girl, no matter what. There has been a pretty even divide in the predictions. Many of the work kids says boy, but my mom, Meg and a few other people close to me say girl. I don't know  as long as it's healthy :)
