The luck of the Buddah...

We received our first baby gift this week, a beautiful baby sized jade Buddha straight from Vietnam.
(it looks similar to this but ours is much nicer )
Thank you Michael, it's very much appreciated and we absolutely love it.

Micheal is one my work family. He just spent the last 3 weeks in Vietnam visiting family and living it up! Good for him :). Before he left he asked if there was anything he could bring back for any of us. I asked for the Buddah. In most Asian cultures, it's a sign of luck and I figured we could use it... well, I think it's working. Why you ask? Well, I think our luck is changing for the better.

Like I'm sure most new soon-to-be parents do, we were freaking out a bit about finances. That being said, Charlie decided to try and find another part time job. This week he got a call from our friend Roger saying that he could use a hand at the Mobile Truck Wash that he works at (one of Roger's 3 jobs, that kid works so hard!). So of course Charlie jumped at the chance. He started bright and early on Tuesday. It's a physically demanding job but he likes it. He says it's good to be outside, a great workout and it's decent money. It ends up being part time days and he can work as much or as little as he wants. It's perfect. Between this job and the websites, we no longer have any money worries. It's such a relief. We even plan on starting up a RESP and a savings account for baby.

This week was about reclaiming some faith...
Faith that things will always work out if your patient enough.
Faith that the people that love you most will always be there for you.
Faith that karma does exist.

We find out whether to buy pink or blue next Friday...
