There's no place like home...

Hometown Glory-Adele

Back to Winnipeg it is! After a long weekend in Montreal, I'm so happy to be back. That saying of "there's no place like home" really is very true. As much as I love Montreal, I can only tolerate for short periods of time.

Things I love about Montreal:
-24hr  wood-fired bagel joints
-the Orange Julep
-the Montreal Biodome
-the Botanical gardens
-Walking old Montreal
-Atwater Market
-Jason Hamlin (we miss you buddy)
-Gina Ravinsky (for a lady in her 80's, you got more pep than I do)
-St Hubert's Quarter chicken meal and sauce
-Harmonie Bakery and Chinatown in general.

Things I loathe about Montreal:
-gridlocked traffic
-Montreal drivers
-Crumbling Freeways
-Obvious Materialism
-The unforgiving nature of strictly French people

Obviously there are more pros than cons and that's what keeps me going back. This past trip was far from a vacation. Everything was so packed in to such a small amount of time and there was no stops in between.
Next time I hope we get a bit more free time to explore the town. Just wander the streets with no agenda and no time constraints...

J'aime et je te hais de MontrĂ©al ... et je serai de retour (I love and hate you montreal... and I will be back)
